On My Frame & Basketball

A peak at my latest mat...my blue/brown fascination continues...this will be an offering for the April update at The 1800 House. While hooking today I had the chance to watch the semi-final game! Washburn Won!!!
They will move on to play in the championship game Saturday night! Nick doesn't play...but he and all his friends were there...that's him in the upper right corner! Next weekend is his big game...The Millerbots will compete in the First Robotics North Star Regional. They won it last year!
Busy and exciting times!
So why do the Millers have bakers hats?
"The school has been heavily influenced by Minneapolis' milling empire. The school's newspaper, The Grist, involves milling terminology, the school's colors, blue and orange, were those of Gold Medal Flour, a company partly run by the Washburn family and a predecessor to General Mills and the athletic teams' nickname are the "Millers"."
GO MILLERS!!!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon...

Good Afternoon...I hope you are having a lovely day! It is just delightful here...75 degrees...hazy sunshine...warm breeze! A very strange March day in Minnesota...I'm not complaining...but I'm not planting yet either!

I picked up some favorite gardening magazines at the grocery store...drove by my favorite garden shop...Uncommon Gardens but they aren't open for the season until tomorrow...so I'll dream and plan.

Tomorrow I'll be washing windows...spring cleaning and finishing pattern orders! I spent some time earlier today sprucing up the PictureTrail site and the Website...feels good!

Now off to switch the laundry...then curling up with the some good reads!
Spring~tyme blessings to you ~L

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Okay...not shamrocks...but the best I could do today!

It's just a beautiful day here...unusually warm for Mid-March with temps nearing 80 today!

After a long week of finishing and shipping the Part One kits of Grandma's Garden, the 2012 rug project,
I'm looking forward to a relaxing day of stitching.
No green beer here...but what ever your traditions and celebrations are...I wish you many blessings and a safe and happy day! ~L

Merrie March...

Good Morning Friends...
I hope you are well...safe and warm!
What weird and wild weather...my heart goes out to everyone touched by these vicious storms. We got more ice than snow...and as inconvenient as it is...I know I have nothing to complain about. In fact...I'm truly blest...a sweet surprise arrived in the mail...
Thank You Dear Jody!!! Her delicious hand made soaps and a sweet candle all tucked in her beautiful handmade basket! Such a treat and such a surprise to brighten a gray day...and a much needed lift...I've been feeling kind of sluggish...dealing with a tooth infection and a bit overwhelmed with many deadlines rapidly approaching...
Early Spring Needle Book is my new March Offering at Early Work Mercantile...I hope you'll hop over to visit these talented artist's!
I'm working on a simple blue and brown mat for next week's update at the 1800 House...I love blue and brown...especially this time of year!
And of course there is Grandma's Garden
patterns to finish drawing...wool to cut...
...and dye!
I'd like to have the kits out the door by the end of next week...
It's good to have goals...right?!?

So what are you up to today? Whatever it is...may it bring a smile to your face...I'll be thinking of you! ~L
