January...Time to launch the 2009 LJF Rug Project...
This year’s rug is titled “A Sampler”...it’s 30” x 28.5”...and I think it’s going to be a fun one to hook! For those of you that aren’t familiar with my rug projects...let me explain...
I started offering them back in 2006...Celebrate the Magic in Each Season...26” x 32”
The “Rug Project” is based on the quilter’s idea of a Block of the Month...only we do the rug in four parts. In January the full linen pattern, cut wool to hook this section and binding tape are sent out. Part Two’s cut wool is mailed out in April...Part Three’s in July and finally Part Four’s cut wool and a special custom fabric label go out in October. Each part includes a detailed hooking guide...so even a novice hooker can feel confident in completing the rug.
I’ll be updating photos on my website...and here so you can follow the progress if you choose.
This was 2007...Comforts of Home...18” x 42”
and 2008...Under the Sun...18” x 40”
Happy Hookin’ L

It's snowing dipping dots today! At least that's what it looks like on the ground. I'm enjoying a day of hooking and hot chocolate! I won't want to go back to teaching on the 20th. I could get used to this staying home all cozy with my wool. Sunny smiles to all who enjoy each season for what it gives us- dipping dots!
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful pattern! And such a clever idea...
