I just finished binding this runner and it will be heading to it's new home tomorrow.
This was SO fun to hook...and I'm lovin' how it turned out...definitely will be making another to keep and offering patterns of this 12" x 42" runner, too!
More soon ~ L
Love this background. Is this all one plaid or a mixture? Hard to pin it down in the photo.
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I love it! The colors are wonderful. Someone is going to be very happy with it!
ReplyDeleteThe textures show off very nicely in this piece. Whoever will receive it is going to love it.
ReplyDeleteMorning Ladies, Thanks so much for your kind comments! Yes, I think my client will be pleased...it looks so nice on my table...I kind of hate to part with it...but it was fun to hook...so I'll add it to the never ending to-do list!
ReplyDeleteCindi...the background is a mix of 4 or 5 textures all dyed in the same pot. The darkest value is a fun stripe that was dyed in the same formula to a darker value...it's what I hooked the border with, too. This is my favorite way of hooking backgrounds.
Beautiful color palette you used - I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' this. I agree the background and palette are just lovely. -Melanie
ReplyDeleteOnce again Laurie, I have to say that I love your work. The contrast of values is wonderful. These textures are sumptuously soft and luxurious looking. Your colors work really well together producing an overall harmonious rug. A satisfied customer you will have for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteSomeone is going to love this piece! The colors you chose sure do make the rug...it's a beauty.
